Point is that I'll have to administer some code to make it work for all browsers that people try to rely on.

One piece of certainty is that the majority of people on the net own (whatsinaname) (un)voluntarily the may be 'default' browser Internet Explorer, thus the conclusion is not far away that anyone is able to 'enjoy' this for 100% safe site in its full respect.
But something is gnawing in my mind, and that is the compatibility issue (it keeps on occurring in computer history), and differences are screaming for answers.

For now I recommend to use this semi-monopolist borrowedbyproxy browser IEXPLORE*, but one can also paste this address into the Windows Explorer, if one tends to use this feature of Windows.
Hey, Apple users out there! I am not forgetting you, but your field takes even more investigation as well. Maybe for the moment you can convert the file provided below in your native AIFF format yourselves?

So for now the initial loopofloops.wav file (could be cached completely by now) is the thing you will be hearing as a clear cut full response repeating sound using IE, but in the nearby future this project part of my side/site might be altered in the sense described in the 'about' section of it...

BREAKING NEWS! I managed to adapt a set of drivers for an otherwise not supported OEM version of the SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 Digital sound card! The piece of whatyoucallit overhere may be regarded as proof of this. It's a kind of overdub (performed on a Celeron 333MHz with 64MB of RAM) of the file in the paragraph above, and can be played as loud as you possibly would want :-)
You know the Celeron is (was then, in this case) a stripped Pentium with less caching capabilities rendering it being about one third slower, especially concerning multimedia tasks. But the SBLive card is a hardware mixer of its own, a real sound processor so to say.

I started using SeaMonkey, which I think is by far the best browser around :-), however it seems not to have the features that support my preliminary soundproject plans...

I am glad to inform you about a purchase I just committed. Being a sound enthousiast I always admired Bowers and Wilkins loudspeaker concepts, not in the least because I own good old perfect DM4s. Now, I acquired the bigger brother of these, called the DM2, a kind of transmission line design.
Unfortunately the supertweeters proved to be blown, but being in possession of a spare pair (albeit not silvery ones) this was corrected in minutes.

From what I read in some forum I understand that the first series of B&W DM2 were equiped with Heco super high frequency units, which were placed next to rather than under the Celestion HF1300 high/midrangers. And that with the introduction of the B&W DM2a the former were replaced by STC 4001G super tweeters. Well, that being the case, my DM2s have a plate stating how they are called, without the 'a'.
The only DM2as I ever encountered had their baffles veneered, and while mine clearly have not may perhaps render them to be the ugliest around :-)
(the sides of the casing are neatly covered with black vinyl though, instead of painted all over the rosewood coloured veneer).


Hey, I managed to acquire an even older type of the DM2, this time with the HECO tweeter positioned next to the Celestion HF1300. Here it is (again the right hand one):



I can tell you they sound as good as the other DM2 type, and better than many other speakers, and this after almost 40 years of lifetime...

I am the opinion that any kind of amplifier combined with real quality loudspeakers will reveal what you were missing before. The only thing that must be taken in consideration is that the amplifier should sufficiently match the input power of the loudspeakers, otherwise you will blow some speaker units because of amplifier clipping.
The strange thing with the first DM series of speakers (and Spendor BC1s) is that many people still enjoy them without noticing that their supertweeters have been wiped out some time. Whereas in other loudspeakers the Celestion HF1300 drivers are used as high pass frequency units, in the early DM series of loudspeakers they are limited by the cross over networks to about 12.5 kHz, which is FM radio quality.
